07.30 AM: Our guide will pick you up from the hote to Vinh Long (70 km from Saigon). Upon arrival, you change to a boat for further journeys along the Mekong Delta, the largest river in Southeast Asia.
The boat will begin with a brief visit to the Cai Be Floating Market. Look for energetic vendors selling fresh fish, see families picking up their daily groceries, and do some shopping of your own at boats filled to the brim with quality handicrafts. Then a visit to the local workshop, where you can see how to make rice paper, coconut, pop rice… Enjoy sweets with a cup of hot tea. The rowing boat will then take you deep into the countryside via small canals to enjoy a time of peace.
12:00 PM: An additional lunch can be served at a local house.
01:00 PM: After lunch we will come to the island of Tan Phong to ride a bike or walk along the village paths to see the local daily life: an orchard, a school, a church, a pagoda, traditional houses…Along the way, we can make a few stops to see how they weave rice net for spring rolls, sew coconut leaves on the roof of the cottage and specifically see how they wave dried water hyacinth to make many products: baskets, bags, hats, wallets, shoes…
Next, Catch glimpses of rural fisherman casting their nets, pop into a garden full of fruit trees to sample some of the day’s harvest, and chat with locals while cup of tea with traditional music before you jump back in your ride and head back to your Ho Chi Minh City hotel.
At the end of the tour, the car will take you back to the hotel.

We visited Ho Chi Minh City. An excellent 1-day tour of the city, with SaigonGlobal Tour, Ms. Ly, who was really knowledgeable, to temples, the Cathedral, old Post Office, Market and War Remnants Museum. We couldn’t have been more impressed, with all our many questions answered during the tour.
Such friendly and knowledgeable people who were able to answer all our questions about the city and the history from the terrible war.
Overall a good tour though we didn’t manage to visit Ben Thanh Market which was closed during the Tet Holidays.
